BIO

Monica Sierras (singer, ukulele, keys/vocoder) and Colin Smith (guitars, u-bass, programming) met when Monica answered an ad for a female singer in San Diego circa 1992. Fresh full of angst they hit the road with original power-pop band Dodgeball and have played music together ever since. Pentagrams&Daisies came to fruition in 2001 after the two had moved to Idyllwild Ca. and were married in 2004 (bringing couple rock to light). Enjoying a variety of genres and eras has led to their no holds barred attitude toward song choices. They have been known to play Tool's "Forty Six & 2" just after playing "Making Our Dreams Come True" the Lavern and Shirley theme song and roll right into Lady Gaga "Bad Romance" without batting an eye. All with their own electronic spin on these contagious songs that makes you want to move while emulating the energy of the originals. With the wide spectrum of songs in their arsenal, there is a little something for everyone and a good time to be had by all.

While covers is a mainstay of Pentagrams&Daisies, originals are the heart of their music. The sound is a mash up of pop sensibilities with metal undertones and bumpin' beats - Abba meets Metallica. Mixing electronic sounds with guitars and vocals that make you want to sing along and dance your ass off!
